Agistment

There are many reasons folks may need to board their alpacas. Perhaps they are in the process of building their farm; perhaps they are still in active away-from-home jobs and not ready to be full time on the farm. Not everyone wants to leave their herd unattended during birthing season and would like their dams to have around the clock attendance. Whatever the reason it is important to find the right home for your alpacas when it cannot be on your property!

Here at Nottingham Hollow we are able to provide reasonably priced agistment and care for your alpacas. Click here for more info!

Adopt-a-paca

Thinking of alpaca ownership but not really sure it is for you? Adopt one of our alpacas and give it a test run. Here is how it works. Choose one of our alpacas to call your own… We will send you email updates from your little one and welcome you to monthly herd health where you will learn how to give shots, body score, trim toe nails and give oral worming meds and vitamins.

You will have the opportunity to learn how to halter train and perhaps show your alpaca at the annual VAOBA Alpaca Expo! You will be invited to Nottingham Hollow's shearing day and if you are a fiber enthusiast and would like the fiber all it takes is your help! If you don't especially want the fiber we will gift you with something crafted from that fiber! The low annual fee of $225 (or quarterly payments of $65.00) is used to offset the hay and feed bill for the alpaca.

Handcrafting

Would you like something handmade from a special alpaca's fleece or yarn? Email us with your wish and we will see if we can help out. Sue has been crocheting for over thirty years and is also adept at needle felting, locker hooking and wet felting. Prices would vary on the complexity of the task.

Show Superintending

Since 2006 Sue has been show superintending for AOBA certified alpaca shows. If your affiliate or organization is interested in holding a show please keep her in mind and drop a line for a bid on the job!
